Where were you born and brought up?
I was born in bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth and was brought up in the village of Talgarreg, cderedigion. I went to the small village school before going on to comprehensive education, first in Aberaeron and then Llandysul.
Then on to Carmarthen Art College before studying Welsh at the University of Wales Aberystwyth.
Where do you live now and do you have a family?
I live in Cardiff with my husband, Richard. We're expecting our first child in November.
What do you do in your leisure time?
I like to relax through reading and listening to music, but I also enjoy socialising. My one great interest is art - I like drawing.
What did you do before joing the BBC?
After leaving college, I went to live in Slovenia for a year, working with refugees from Bosnia. I spent the year teaching English to children and adults. After returning to Wales, I came to Cardiff to work for Acen, where I worked on the 889 subtitling service.
How long have you worked for BBC Cymru?
I started working part-time seven years ago, but I'm working there full time since almost four years.
What have you been doing with the BBC?
Working for the presentation department at first, before moving to Radio Cymru'n news department. I read news bulletins and did news items for Post Cynta and Post Prynhawn. About eight months ago, I went to work for the tv news programmes, Newyddion, and there I had the opportunity to report.
You're now working on Yr Wythnos. What is your role?
Presenting the programme and working with the producer to put the programmes together and script the items in a language suitable for Welsh learners.
What about the future?
At present I'm enjoying presenting Yr Wythnos and I hope to continue to do so.
