I was born in Rosset near Wrexham and was brought up in Dyffryn Ardudwy, Gwynedd.

Where were you educated?

I went to Dyffryn Ardudwy primary school and then to Ysgol Uwchradd Ardudwy in Harlech, before going to the University of Wales Swansea. I spent a year in Paris learning French and then returned to Swansea to follow a teacher training course.

Yes, my husband Paul and our little daughter Lisa Medi who's eight - the best little girl in the whole wide world!

What are you interests?

Socialising, shopping, singing, salsa dancing, tennis and the music of Jules Holland.

You've worked in the media.

Yes. I worked for HTV for 17 years as a researcher, producer and director on both Welsh and English programmes - a great opportunity to learn different skills.

What is your work at the National Assembly?

I'm a personal tutor to a number of Assembly Members and I help them to use the Welsh language in their work in the Assembly, in tv and radio interviews and socially.

Do you enjoy the work?

Yes, very much. I feel that we work together to create a bilingual workplace.
