Scotland's Choice?

There's a big argument at present between the Scottish Government and the Government in Westminster about independence for Scotland.

The Scottish Government wants to choose when to have the referendum and which questions to ask. They want the people of Scotland to have the cloice of Yes or No to independence; but they also want people to have the choice of further powers as an alternative option. A good idea and clear choice?

No, says David Cameron and the Westminster Government. It's London that decides when the referendum will be held and what the choice will be. London wants the choice to be a simple one: Yes for independence or No against independence.

Who's right? What's important is that the people of Scotland are allowed to choose what they want. If they want independence or if they don't want independence - it's their choice. And if they want more powers without full independence, it's important that they have the opportunity to say that too.

If the arguement were about Wales, wouldn't you want the same choice?
